On November 7th and 8th in Manila, IDLO launched its new program in the Philippines with signing ceremonies at the Office of the Ombudsman and the Department of Justice. The ceremonies officially marked the opening of two initial projects in the country.

PRESS RELEASE: (Rome) November 29, 2016 – One year after the historic inclusion of the rule of law in the new Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Vietnam has joined the International Development Law Organization (IDLO), the only intergovernmental organization exclusively devoted to promoting the rule of law.
‘Goal 16 focuses on the legal dimension of development but we could say the same of all the other goals, whether they focus on oceans, or health, or education, or environment,’ said the President of the 71st session of the United Nations General Assembly, Peter Thomson, during a visit to IDLO’s headquarters.
