This sub-project sought to strengthen collaboration and coordination among key national stakeholders in advocating for the promotion of healthy diets and physical activity through policy and legal reforms. Working closely with the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Education, civil society partners, local stakeholders and the media, the Tanzania Women Lawyers Association established and provided technical support to the working group on non-communicable diseases to coordinate stakeholder interventions on the topic of healthy diets and physical activity, including  awareness-raising activities and capacity development on how to conduct evidence-based, gender-sensitive and human rights-based advocacy interventions.
