Under the framework of the Global Regulatory and Fiscal Capacity Building Programme (Global RECAP), this sub-project aims to contribute to the promotion of conducive regulatory and policy frameworks for healthy diets for all, as a means to prevent non-communicable diseases. In order to achieve this objective, the Kenya Legal and Ethical Issues Network on HIV&AIDS (KELIN) is supporting advocacy for healthy food practices in Kenya by strengthening country-level civil society coordination mechanisms. In addition, KELIN is promoting multi-stakeholder discussions on the intersection of digitalization and the regulatory landscape for healthy diets, to outline priority strategies and identify pilot interventions to advance regulatory and fiscal measures in a digital environment. Finally, KELIN is facilitating parliamentary dialogue to enhance legislators’ engagement in the development and implementation of regulatory and fiscal measures to prevent non-communicable diseases.
