A longstanding partner of IDLO, the Mongolian Judicial General Council celebrated its 25th year anniversary in Ulaanbaatar. The Judicial General Council represents an important body in the justice sector that aims to ensure transparency of the courts, protect the public's right to fair trial and increase public confidence in the courts.
In 2011, Indonesia adopted a law on legal aid which includes a national budget for legal aid providers to deliver access to justice and legal aid services to the poor.
An ineffective court decision enforcement system in Indonesia leaves many who win their court case behind disappointed, as verdicts are not properly enforced.
