Empowering Women in Somalia's Alternative Disputes Resolution Centers

IDLO's work around the  (Alternative Dispute Resolution) ADR Centers in Somalia promotes the active engagement of women to act as Adjudicators, counselors and advisors, as they provide support to other women seeking justice particularly on family disputes and cases of gender based violence.

IDLO interviewed two female Coordinators working in the ADR Centers to learn about their experiences, challenges faced as women working in traditional settings and their overall roles in adjudicating disputes.
