New York, September 24 - IDLO Director-General Irene Khan joined world leaders in New York on the occasion of the 68th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
Beginning today and continuing through October 1st, the General Debate will provide an opportunity for high-level officials to discuss the Post-2015 Development Agenda.
After attending the General Debate, Ms. Khan will hold a series of bilateral meetings and participate in the Clinton Global Initiative. She will also speak on the rule of law and development at the High-Level Opening Session of the Global Dialogue on Rule of Law and Post-2015 Development Agenda.
As the UN General Assembly focuses on progress made on the Millennium Development Goals, Ms. Khan will share IDLO’s experience of using the rule of law to close the gap between the promise of development and the reality of deprivation and discrimination.
