IDLO Director-General Irene Khan met Mongolian President Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj and Minister of Foreign Affairs Purevsuren Lundeg in Davos, Switzerland on 22 January 2015, to strengthen collaboration.
IDLO has been working with the Mongolian government to improve the functioning of courts and justice sector institutions to enhance investor confidence in the Mongolian economy. In partnership with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), IDLO is implementing several projects that aim to address all stages of dispute resolution – from creating mediation centers, to working with the judiciary to build capacity in commercial law, to strengthening the court decision enforcement sector.
President Elbegdorj said Mongolia was eager to work more closely with IDLO. He invited the Director-General to visit Mongolia, which Ms. Khan accepted.
