IDLO has concluded a series of workshops on Competition Law in Montenegro – part of continuing efforts to support the country as it prepares for EU accession. The area has historically been seen as a weakness. Ten participants from the Agency for the Protection of Competition and the Chamber of Commerce joined the interactive, case-oriented workshop. Part of an EBRD/IDLO initiative, it was led by two European experts and an IDLO facilitator.
Participants described the workshop as ‘very useful’ and ‘helpful in future work, especially in view of the ongoing alignment of the Agency’s activity with EU practice’. The training tackled the economic underpinnings of relevant competition regulations and provided the Montenegrin competition body with practical tools for market analysis.
