The forthcoming Annual Meeting of the Assembly of Parties & Partnership Forum 2017 will take place on November 28 and 29, 2017 in Rome, at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs & International Cooperation.
As the international community faces increasingly complex challenges in dealing with conflicts and in making the 2030 Agenda real, IDLO's 2017 Partnership Forum will address the relationship between peace and development and the role that the rule of law plays to underpin both and promote stable and inclusive societies.
Held annually in conjunction with IDLO’s Assembly of Parties, the Partnership Forum is a platform for multi-stakeholder dialogue, including between IDLO Member Parties, partner governments, international policy makers and development practitioners. It is aimed at stimulating new ideas on critical rule of law issues and facilitating and strengthening partnerships.
The Partnership Forum’s interactive dialogues will discuss:
- Sustaining Peace, Sustainable Development: Challenges and Opportunities for the Rule of Law
Keynote Speech: Mr. Fabrizio Hochschild, UN Assistant Secretary-General for Strategic Coordination
- Building Effective and Accountable Institutions to Sustain Peace
- Can there be Peace and Prosperity without Gender Equality?
- Partnerships for Inclusive Economic Growth
