Special Edition on ending violence against women - November 28

From fragile states to flourishing middle-income countries, civil society and institutions find themselves at a critical juncture when it comes to gender equality. While grassroots movements are gaining momentum in demanding accountability for sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV), access to justice remains a major challenge for women and girls worldwide.

SGBV is pervasive – it is estimated that one in three women are affected by violence, often with little remedy or protection for survivors, further perpetuating gender injustice. Marking the 16 days of activism against gender-based violence, IDLO is advocating for better #JusticeforWomen.
