One Belt One Road: China and IDLO strengthen cooperation

(Beijing, May 13, 2017) The International Development Law Organization, IDLO, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Commerce of China (MOFCOM) during the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation (BRF).

The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by MOFCOM Assistant Minister, Mr. Li Chenggang and Ms. Irene Khan, Director-General of IDLO who participated in the BRF in Beijing.

Under the Memorandum of Understanding, IDLO and MOFCOM will look to implement common projects that will strengthen the capacity, promote knowledge and exchange best practices on law, investment and trade.

During her visit to Beijing, Ms. Khan also addressed students and academics of Renmin University China Law School.

The People’s Republic of China has been a Member Party of IDLO since 1989.
