Nairobi, February 18 – Irene Khan, Director-General of the International Development Law Organization (IDLO) is in Nairobi this week to discuss IDLO's work on the rule of law and development with key members of Kenya’s government. She will meet with Cabinet Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Amina Mohamed; Cabinet Secretary of the Ministry of Devolution and Planning, Ms Anne Waiguru; Chief Justice Dr. Willy Mutunga and Attorney General Prof. Githu Muigai.
Ms Khan will also meet Chief Justice Aidid Abdullahi Ilka Hanaf of Somalia and members of the diplomatic community.
On Friday, February 21, Ms. Khan will address a Training Workshop on Basic Human Rights for Judges at the Judiciary Training Institute.
