On Wednesday, IDLO Director-General Irene Khan met with the Minister of Justice of Mozambique, Benvinda Levi, and the Ambassador of Mozambique, Carla Elisa Mucavi, at IDLO’s offices in Rome.
Director-General Khan briefed Minister Levi and Ambassador Mucavi on IDLO’s ongoing projects in member party Mozambique, including programs related to low carbon investment and sustainable land use.
IDLO has trained more than 130 of Mozambique’s senior legal professionals through a program funded by the Government of Italy. Other IDLO projects in Mozambique have included seed development, land titling and legal empowerment.
