As part of Human Rights Day, IDLO and the European Foundation for Democracy, with the support of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is holding a screening of the documentary Afghan Star.  The film, based on the Afghan version of Pop Idol, depicts the equal opportunities given to men and women from across the ethnic and political spectrum and Afghan youth's first experience with democracy.  Following the screening, William Loris, Director General of IDLO, will moderate a discussion with Daoud Sediqi, former host of Afghan Star, and Afzal Nooristani, Afghan lawyer and Executive Director of the Legal Aid Organization of Afghanistan.
